Junior Seau was easily one of the greatest linebackers to play at USC. He translated that to a terrific career in the NFL, mainly with the San Diego Chargers. Sadly, Seau’s life ended too soon after he committed suicide in 2012 after suffering with head trauma from years of playing football.
Sometimes, you have to look back at some of the funny moments in his life to get over the tragedies. Les Miles shared one of those moments on Monday morning.
According to College Spun and ESPN’s Joe Schad, Miles lost Seau as a recruit to USC during his time as an assistant coach at Colorado in the 1980’s. Usually, you’d think that he would have lost his commitment for reasons related to football. That wasn’t the case with Miles.
Les Miles said Junior Seau is his recruit that got away. When at Colorado, Seau’s Dad told him he talked too much.

So you mean to tell me that Seau would have ended up with the Buffaloes as a college football player if Miles would have kept his mouth shut a little more? I bet if Colorado fans knew that, they wouldn’t be too happy with him right now.
Good thing Miles doesn’t go on too many recruitment visits now or the LSU Tigers would not have a top ten recruiting class for 2015.
