Three-star WR Randrecous Davis commits to Georgia

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has reported three-star wide receiver Randrecous Davis has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Davis is obviously known for his skills on the field but it is his tattoo that has gained national buzz. Davis has the Georgia ‘G’ tattooed on his bicep.

His high school coach, Corey Jarvis, spoke to the AJC about his decision.

“Randrecous came back this evening and told me that he spoke to (wide receivers coach Bryan) McClendon on the phone and basically told him that ‘I’m ready to be a Dog,’” stated Jarvis.

Although Davis has played wide receiver in high school, he is not opposed to making the switch to defensive back if need be in college.

“They talked to him about the possibility of playing some defensive back and some receiver, too,” Jarvis said. “That has a lot to do with his decision, too. Coach McClendon wants him at receiver, but coach Pruitt has been chomping at the bit wanting him to play some DB.

“He’s at the point right now where he really doesn’t care which position he plays. I know receiver is his preference and that’s where we have him at mostly, but so many people love his athleticism at cornerback as well. That could be his ticket to the NFL.”

According to 247sports.com, Davis is rated as a three-star wide receiver and the 78th best at his position in the country.
