VT-Buckeye matchup is most anticipated in Lane Stadium

The Virginia Tech Hokies have played some important games throughout the years at Lane Stadium. During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, the Hokies had some teams that were competing for national championships.

However this year, Head Coach Frank Beamer, thinks their matchup against Ohio State will be the “most anticipated” game ever at VT’s Lane Stadium.

Beamer also made a joke about the depth Ohio State has at quarterback and how he hopes they all get into a fight with each other before kickoff.

Last year the Hokies went into The Horseshoe  and gave the Buckeyes their only loss of the year. Ohio State eventually went on to win the National Championship, but you know Urban Meyer and his team will have revenge on their minds come September.

Ohio State will come into the game heavily favored and will be expected to have no trouble with the Hokies. Virginia Tech will surely count on their defense to help keep them in the game.

It’s good to see the 68 year old Beamer cracking jokes and staying loose as the Hokies look to bounce back after a disappointing season last year.
