LSU freshman runs 4.24 during testing

LSU freshman defensive back Donte Jackson won himself plenty of fans during initial testing this summer. Multiple sources told James Smith of The Times-Picayune that Jackson ran a 4.24 forty yard dash. Not exactly a lightweight.

Given how one of the top defensive backs in the NFL in Arizona Cardinal Patrick Peterson went to LSU, this is only going to help Jackson. He is the defending 100-meter Louisiana state champion, and Tigers head coach Les Miles already wants to get him involved on offense as well as special teams, on top of his defensive back duties.

Needless to say, Jackson is certainly going to be a player to watch as the countdown to college football season continues.

LSU opens the season at home against the Southland’s McNeese State Cowboys on September 5.
