One SJSU player in hospital, one suspended after fight

No news is good news for San Jose State football, it seems.

According to Jimmy Durkin of the San Jose Mercury News, an on-campus altercation left one player, redshirt freshman safety Chad Miller, in the hospital and another unidentified player has been suspended from the team.

Details on Miller’s injuries and condition were not made public.

This incident comes on the heels of former SJSU receiver Kanya Bell Jr. being dismissed from the team after being charged with domestic battery.

That said, Spartans head coach Ron Caragher must be getting ready to call a team meeting, a la Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher.

San Jose State has gone 9-15 (7-9 Mountain West) in two years under Caragher and opens the season at home against the CAA’s New Hampshire Wildcats on September 3.
