It looks like it will take more than missing out on a Grand Slam to put a hitch in Jordan Spieth’s swagger. First, we learned earlier this week that the 21-year-old is still the heavy favorite with bettors to win the PGA Championship.
Now, we learn that he’s taking swigs out of the British Open trophy.

Golf.com reported on a picture of Spieth sapping from Open winner Zach Johnson’s claret jug on the plane ride home from St. Andrews. Johnson’s caddie, Damon Green, took the photo.
Spieth is, apparently, not the superstitious type. As Yahoo! so aptly points out: Had he been a hockey player missing out on the playoffs than drinking out of the Stanley Cup, he probably would have had to go into hiding and change his name.
