Former Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix turned in an excellent rookie season with the Green Bay Packers, posting 94 tackles, a sack and three picks, so he felt it only appropriate to thank the men that got them there.
On his Instagram page, Clinton-Dix posted a heartfelt tribute to Alabama head coach Nick Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart.
I will never forget where I came from and all the lesson and techniques Nick Saban, Kirby smart, Greg brown and One on One sessions Jules Montinar had with me on my reads and QB awarenes and middle the field breaks I Owe Jules a lot only trying to get better thank you All #ROLLTIDE #4LIFE #TBT #1 #ESPNtop10
Clinton-Dix turned himself into one of the best safeties in the nation while at Alabama, accumulating 99 tackles and seven interceptions in three seasons. When the 2014 NFL Draft rolled along, the Packers chose him with the 21st pick.
Even though he is in the NFL spotlight now, it’s refreshing to see that Clinton-Dix has not forgotten where he came from, and this tribute to Saban and Smart proves that. Hopefully, he can continue to put up great numbers in the NFL for many years to come.
