Hugh Freeze shuts down fan on Twitter…HARD

|

Twitter can be a wonderful place, but also a spot that some may refer to has “Troll Central,” and people’s patience for trolls can vary anywhere from just ignoring them to calling them out and silencing them.

In the case of Ole Miss Rebels head football coach Hugh Freeze, he is very much the latter. Last night, someone known as @claylo_in_TX mentioned something about Hugh Freeze telling recruits to avoid Mississippi State because Bulldogs head coach Dan Mullen was allegedly an atheist.

Naturally, Freeze stepped right in to defend his SEC and in-state rival.

This is an ugly rumor that allegedly took place back in 2012, but has never been confirmed by any serious news outlet. Regardless of how true it is, the fact that Freeze jumped right in and defended both himself and Mullen says something.

Even in rivalries, respect for one another can still exist.

Ole Miss opens the season at home against the OVC’s Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks on September 5.
