I love chicken wings. Hell, I probably eat them at least once a week, be it at my local bar or via delivery to my house.
But then there are people who take wing consumption to a whole new level, like competitive eaters Joey Chestnut and Matt “Megatoad” Stonie.
At the Hooters World Wing Eating Championship in Clearwater, Florida this past weekend, the two ate a combined 441 wings in just 10 minutes, with Stonie putting down 241 and Chestnut 200.
BroBible posted the video of the contest, and it’s pretty epic.
This was all in celebration of National Chicken Wing Day, set to be celebrated on July 29, but even that number of wings in one sitting seems excessive.
Granted, that’s probably just because I’ve never been able to scarf down more than 20 delicious morsels of chickeny goodness at a time, but it’s also hard not to respect that Chestnut and Stonie can eat so much and still appear to be in great shape. And suddenly we hate them both again.
But the fact remains that this was a hell of a way to celebrate National Chicken Wing Day and, like many of you devoted readers, I plan on celebrating to the fullest extent on Wednesday.
