Apparently the Kansas City Royals are done with the bad guy attitude they were exuding at the beginning of the season. And they have replaced that surly demeanor with something light, fun and down-right silly.
Members of the AL Central leading team had a little fun with the media this week when they started inserting references to summer tune “Trap Queen” by Fetty Wap into their post game interview answers.
Multiple players inserted the numbers 17 and 38 into their interviews in reference to the opening line from the song–even if the reference makes no logical sense what-so-ever.
The only thing better than the players’ answers is how much it ruffled the feathers of Royals beat guy Andy McCullough.

The shenanigans are believed to be started by outfielder Lorenzo Cain, who uses “Trap Queen” as his walk-up music.
Now, apparently there are serious ramifications for not engaging in the “1738” game…
KC players are fining each other if they don't use "1738" in postgame interviews. I have no idea what it means. Success has driven them mad.
