Video: Robert Kraft rips Roger Goodell, supports Tom Brady

In May of this year, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft accepted the NFL’s penalty for the team being involved in the deflategate scandal in the 2015 AFC Championship Game. He hoped that by accepting the $1 million fine and the loss of draft picks he would help lessen the punishment laid down on Tom Brady.

On Monday, that did not happen. The NFL upheld the four-game suspension of Brady and Kraft was obviously not happy about it. BroBible shared the video where Kraft aired his grievances for the first and only time.

Kraft said:

“I was wrong to put my faith in the league,” Six months removed from AFC Championship Game, the league still has no hard evidence of anybody doing anything to tamper with PSI levels.

Yesterday’s decision by Commissioner was released in a similar manner, under an erroneous headline that read, “Tom Brady destroyed his cellphone.” This headline was designed to capture headlines across the country and obscure evidence regarding the tampering of air pressure in footballs.

It intentionally implied nefarious behavior and minimized the acknowledgement that Tom provided the history of every number he texted during that relevant time frame. And we had already provided the league with every cellphone of every non-NFLPA that they requested, including head coach Bill Belichick.

From the look of things, Kraft and the Patriots could be looking to take this matter to federal court. Oh joy. This is surely going to be a fun preseason.
