It seems as though the BYU Cougars and UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will be able to finish out their home-and-home agreement in the coming seasons. This announcement comes after the teams decided to push the game back from this season in order for the Cougars to play Missouri in the fall.
College Football Talk reported the news and it seemed as though the game would be played in 2016. The two teams could not find an open spot, so they will finish off the series in 2017.
The Cougars hosted the Runnin’ Rebels last season for the first part of the agreement. The Cougars won the game 42-23. BYU now has eleven of their twelve opponents for 2017 locked in.
They currently have a tough slate for that season as they open with LSU in Houston and also play Utah, Boise State, Mississippi State, and Hawaii. The Cougars are eligible for a 13th game that season due to the Hawaii game being on the road.
