Kentucky, UNC to play alumni game featuring pros

It’s official, folks. Kentucky and North Carolina are going to play an alumni game for charity at Rupp Arena on September 13. The official Twitter page for Kentucky men’s basketball made the announcement.

The game will feature professional players of the past and present, which means anything is possible as to who shows up. Hopefully, John Wall and Anthony Davis will represent Kentucky, and maybe DeMarcus Cousins or Karl-Anthony Towns can make an appearance as well.

On North Carolina’s end, the possibilities are endless. Ty Lawson could show up, or even newly minted NBA champion Harrison Barnes. Maybe a certain Number 23 can brush up his skills and get his old playing gear out of the basement?

Either way, this game will be a blast to watch, not to mention actually play in. Thus, if you can get to Lexington on September 13, be sure to buy a ticket or five when they go on sale August 12!
