Ronda Rousey dedicates UFC 190 fight to late Roddy Piper

The wrestling community was rocked with the news of Roddy Piper’s passing yesterday afternoon. UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names affected greatly by the news and she responded in one of the classiest ways possible.

Rousey was devastated by Piper’s passing so she took to Instagram to post a emotional piece about her wanting to dedicate Saturday’s fight against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 to the late Hall of Famer. BroBible shared the post.

Fans of Rousey have recently began calling her “Rowdy” a nickname that became synonymous with Piper during his time with the WWE. Last week, Piper went on the Rich Eisen Show and talked about the first time Rousey asked him if she could use the nickname.

What a nice way to remember one of your idols. I’m sure with the spirit of Hot Rod behind her, there’s no way she can lose tonight.
