Alabama Crimson Tide junior tight end O.J. Howard recently took to the streets to interview fans of his team and, in typical hilarious fashion, nobody recognized him!
The best part of the video has to be when Howard asks two unsuspecting fans who they think should be the go-to tight end, and backup TY Flournoy-Smith is named. Sure enough, by the end of the video, Howard lets the fans know who he is, and laughs are shared all around.
This prank of Howard’s is reminiscent of the one Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman played on Super Bowl weekend back in 2013, when he asked unsuspecting fans who was a better shutdown corner: himself or New York Jet Darrelle Revis. Fans would answer Revis, the bigger household name at the time, and then Sherman would introduce himself with a smile.
Now that he’s done pranking people, Howard will look to improve off of his sophomore season, in which he caught 17 passes for 260 yards. With great size at 6-foot-6, 240 pounds, he should have no problem making himself a top receiving target in 2015.
