Alabama fan shows up to Fan Day Sprint 4 days early

One beloved tradition among Alabama fans is the annual Fan Day Sprint, in which fans simply run across the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium with the hopes of getting the autographs of either Nick Saban, their favorite players or both.

It just so happens that one particular fan, known on Twitter as “King Bammer” showed up to be first in line for the event this morning. The kicker is that the sprint doesn’t take place until Sunday.

I’ve got to say, that’s devotion. There have been a myriad number of stories, urban legends and the like about people camping outside a venue for tickets, but for an event to just sprint across the field for autographs? That’s REAL fandom right there.

Here’s hoping that King Bammer’s training ultimately helps him in being first in line, since he doesn’t look like much of a runner to begin with, and that he gets all the autographs he wants!
