It’s that time of year where teams around the nation are releasing hype videos and their new uniforms in order to generate some excitement for the upcoming college football season. The latest team to do so is the Utah Utes.
The Utes announced on Thursday that they will be wearing some very special uniforms for this year’s homecoming game.
When Utah takes the field at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Oct. 10 for their clash against a fierce Pac-12 foe, the California Golden Bears, the Utes will be wearing a very special throwback uniform to honor their past.
While it is not an overly fancy design, it is very clean. The helmet features the old school “UU” logo on the side of the helmet and on the sleeves. The interlocking logo was used back in the 1960’s.
Outside of the “UU” and Under Armour logo on the pants, there are diagonal red stripes above the knee. This was a design used by the Utes in the 70’s.
It’s a slick look that fans should appreciate.
