The Louisville Cardinals scored a big transfer in former Drexel guard Damion Lee earlier this year, and the young man has apparently lived up to the hype. Appearing on a local radio show, head coach Rick Pitino said that Lee was easily the best player on the team at the moment.
This is great news for Cardinals fans, as Lee averaged 21.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game last season while shooting 44 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from long range. He also has great size for a shooting guard at 6-foot-6, 200 pounds, just what Louisville needs after losing in the Final Four last year due to lack of guards that could shoot consistently.
With standout players Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell now in the NBA, look for Lee to put the team on his back next season as Louisville seeks to return to the Final Four once again.
