The Vanderbilt Commodores football team may have gone 3-9 last season and not won a single SEC game, but that isn’t going to deter the team from looking awesome on the field in 2015. Head coach Derek Mason tweeted out a picture of three uniform combinations that will be featured at some point this season, courtesy of Nike.
It just goes to show that Vanderbilt has one message going through its mind in 2015, regardless of how the team performs. Win or lose, the players are going to look awesome in the school’s signature black and gold.
To pick a favorite of these three uniforms is near impossible. The white one offers a nice contrast from the usual darkness or shininess fans have come to expect from Vanderbilt’s uniforms, while the black one with the gold helmet has a certain panache and charisma to it. As for the gold jersey, black pants and black helmet combination, it simply redefines the term “classic with an edge.”
It should also be noted that two of the helmets seen above are the new ones that were unveiled earlier this week, thanks to a tweet from assistant Rod Chance.
Just when these uniforms will be broken out remains to be seen, but one thing is certain. Vanderbilt is going to be looking great on the field from a fashion standpoint at certain times this season.
