Class of 2016 four-star center Rodney Miller, out of New Jersey’s Oak Hill Academy, has committed to the Miami Hurricanes. Miller made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

Blessed with great size at 6-foot-11, 230 pounds, Miller had also received offers from UConn, Tulsa, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech. By heading to Miami, he immediately fills a hole that will be left when seven-footer Tonye Jekiri graduates in the spring. Throw in transfer Rashad Muhammad, who will officially suit up for the U next season, and Miami’s prospects for becoming NCAA Tournament regulars again are looking up.
Miami has gone 91-49 (41-29 ACC) in four years under coach Jim Larrañaga and took home an ACC Championship in 2013 en route to the Sweet Sixteen. It is the only time under Larrañaga’s watch that the team has made the NCAA Tournament.
