Tennessee releases video highlighting conditioning program

The Tennessee Volunteers have high hopes for 2015. After years of being at the bottom of the standings in the SEC, the Vol’s are training hard this off-season to get back to the top of the conference.

On Wednesday, Tennessee released a video showing the type of intense workouts the players are going through to get ready for the upcoming season.

Head Coach Butch Jones claims that his players spend an impressive 86 percent of their time with strength and conditioning staff. His team has to be in the best possible shape to endure the hot temperatures on Saturdays.

Jones is entering year three in Knoxville and its no secret it is his most important. Fans are tired of losing year after year to rivals like Florida and Georgia. Some experts have chosen the Volunteers to compete for the SEC east crown.

Tennessee opens the season on September 5th against Bowling Green. Their conditioning will be tested immediately with a matchup in week two at Oklahoma.
