Alabama defense studies the New England Patriots

The Alabama Crimson Tide defense has always been known for wreaking havoc on the field. As of the last few seasons, however, they haven’t been as efficient as years past. One thing they know they need to improve on is creating turnovers.

The Crimson Tide has been studying one of the best teams in the NFL at creating turnovers: the New England Patriots.

During the 2014 season, the Tide were ranked 58 in the country for turnover margin per game (0) and number 77 in the country for turnovers per game (1.5).

During the regular season, the Patriots recorded twenty-five turnovers (sixteen interceptions, nine fumble recoveries). That is an impressive stat and surely one any college football team would be happy to emulate.

As long as they play like the Patriots, the Crimson Tide should have one of the best defenses this season.

Alabama opens the season on September 5 when they play Wisconsin at AT&T Stadium.
