Report: Notre Dame loses DT Jarron Jones for season

There is some bad news for the Notre Dame FIghting Irish front seven.

According to reports that surfaced on Saturday morning, senior defensive tackle Jarron Jones is “likely” to miss the season after suffering what is being described as a serious knee injury.

Further reports indication Jones will need surgery for “multiple tears” in his knee.

This will obviously be a major loss for the Fighting Irish, who will lose a productive presence along the interior line.

Jones is also a team leader, so head coach Brian Kelly will be relying on other veterans to step up if Notre Dame hopes to contend for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
