5-star PF Sacha Killeya-Jones commits to Kentucky

Class of 2016 five-star power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones, out of Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, has committed to the University of Kentucky. ESPN’s Paul Biancardi reported Killeya-Jones’ decision on Twitter, as did the star recruit himself.

Thus begins just another day at the office for Wildcats head coach John Calipari, as Killeya-Jones has fine size for his position at 6-foot-10, 207 pounds and should be a great fit in the team’s dribble-drive offense. He’s a bit on the skinny side, but should fill out over the course of the next year and will be in fine shape to play when he arrives on campus next fall. Apart from Kentucky, Killeya Jones was weighing offers from St. Joseph’s, Virginia, Wake Forest, Kansas and N.C. State.

Killeya-Jones now becomes the second member of Kentucky’s 2016 recruiting class, joining New Zealand center Tai Wynyard. Once the rest of the 2016 class for Kentucky begins taking shape, it will be safe to say that the team will enjoy yet another great year under Calipari.
