Hossa keeps to tradition of eating pierogi out of Stanley Cup

One of my favorite follows on Hockey Twitter has a great chirp every time Blackhawk Marian Hossa scores a goal:

Really, this applies to more than just the Slovakian forward’s scoring prowess. It works as an explanation for how he spent his time with the Stanley Cup.

Hossa brought Lord Stanley’s mug to his hometown of Trencin last week, and engaged in what has become his habit when parading the trophy around: Eating pierogi straight out of the top.

Truth be told, this isn’t new or odd behavior for Hossa, who has eaten the delicacy out of the trophy each time he has brought it home.

When you’re part of one of the NHL’s most dominant teams, you can pretty much eat whatever you want out of whatever you want right?

Of course he can.

Because he is Marian Hossa.

And you, well, are not.
