How the Ashley Madison hack hit the sports world

A breeding ground for infidelity and all things sinister, Ashley Madison, a site focused on extracurricular activities outside of one’s marriage, underwent a hack that affected 32 million, including Fortune 500 companies and some universities within the infrastructure of the educational system.

While verification of any email addresses are undetermined, according to Ashley Madison, each released domestic city, government agency and every sports broadcast service/publication associated with the website are likely to boost efforts in company-wide email surveillance techniques to avoid tripping over the wire again.

In a manufactured response by the hackers, who characterized their group as the Impact Team, alluded to the exposure of the miscreants of the online dating community:

“We have explained the fraud, deceit, and stupidity of ALM and their members. Now everyone gets to see their data. Keep in mind the site is a scam with thousands of fake female profiles. See ashley madison fake profile lawsuit; 90-95% of actual users are male. Chances are your man signed up on the world’s biggest affair site, but never had one. He just tried to. If that distinction matters.”

“Too bad for those men, they’re cheating dirtbags and deserve no such discretion. Too bad for ALM, you promised secrecy but didn’t deliver.”

Obtaining a membership on Ashley Madison is complimentary for women, yet men are charged on a per-credit-basis at increments of 100 ($49 for 100 credits). These 100 credits unlock certain communication features, such as sending/receiving correspondences and handpicking virtual gifts (roses, cocktail glasses, etc.).
