San Jose State can’t even give away free tickets to opener

You can’t deny the San Jose State Spartans football team did not look great last year, going 3-9 (2-6 Mountain West) in its second season under coach Ron Caragher. Apparently, at least in the eyes of fans, the team is so bad that even free tickets aren’t even worth it.

If one were to go on Event Brite, there is a link to get free tickets to the Spartans’ season opener against New Hampshire. Oddly enough, there are over 8,000 FREE tickets remaining for a game set to be played at a stadium that seats over 30,000.

It just goes to show that in some cases, people will not even take an advantage of an opportunity to get free stuff, even if it’s free football tickets.

That said, San Jose State had better hope that this season is better than 2014, otherwise the stadium will just get emptier and emptier with each passing game.
