The Tennessee Volunteers football team has been bitten by the injury bug. It’s most recent victim, defensive back Rashaan Gaulden.
On Thursday, GoVols247.com reported that Gaulden would miss over a month due to a broken bone in his foot. Unfortunately the original prognosis was incorrect and now the talented sophomore will miss the entire season.
JONES: Very unfortunate, Rashaan Gaulden fractured his foot. He will be out for the entire season.

Gaulden was supposed to earn starting duties in the nickel back package this season. Last year, he contributed mostly on special teams.
Tennessee has been chosen by some experts to win the SEC East crown. With injuries starting to mount for head coach Butch Jones, fans may want to start tempering expectations.
It was confirmed on Friday that the Vol’s will be without the services of guard Austin Sanders for the entire year. Two weeks earlier Marcus Jackson was also ruled out for all of 2015.
Volunteer football is now less than two weeks away. Tennessee will open with Bowling Green on September 5th.
