Green Bay wide receiver Jordy Nelson hasn’t let being on injured reserve this season bring him down. Friday, Nelson paid a surprise visit to some Packer fans to offer up some insider advice for a fantasy football league.
According to USA Today, Nelson greeted fans at a Buffalo Wild Wings draft party in Ashwaybenon, Wisconsin.
The sports bar chain pulled off the surprise by telling the local league that Nelson was on the phone. Meanwhile, the 6-foot-3 wide receiver was actually calling from inside the restaurant.
Although he said he has never played fantasy football before, Nelson hung out with the league and gave suggestions on which players and even team owners to pay attention.
Naturally several Packer players topped his list.
Nelson tore his ACL during a preseason game against The Steelers. He told a local news station he hopes to have surgery soon and rejoin the team in the next season.
