Clemson QB Deshaun Watson wants to go undefeated in 2015

The Clemson Tigers are currently one of the favorites to win the 2015 ACC title, but it will all depend on whether or not star sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson can stay healthy. He had a big season last year, but unfortunately dealt with injuries down the stretch of the season that held him out of the action.

Despite the injuries that he faced last season, he still showed that he is capable of putting up big numbers. Looking ahead to the 2015 season, Watson is setting the goals high for his team.

Clemson QB Deshaun Watson asked about his goals for the season. "Really my only goal is to go undefeated."

Watson ended up throwing for 1,466 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions last year as a freshman. Those are exactly the type of numbers that Clemson is hoping he can replicate this season but keep up throughout the entire year. Clemson is going to have a very hard time going undefeated this season, but setting the bar high is a good thing.

If the Tigers do want to go undefeated this season, they will have to come away with wins over schools like Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Florida State. None of those three teams are going to be easy to beat, but Watson can power his team to victories if he stays healthy and plays to his potential.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see how he plays during his sophomore season. Clemson has put together a very solid all-around team and there are quite a few reasons for them to be excited about their 2015 chances.

There is no denying that Watson has star potential, but it will all depend on how healthy he stays and how he attacked his workouts this offseason. If he took it seriously and improved like he should have, the Tigers are going to be just fine at the quarterback position for the 2015 season.

Going undefeated is an extremely difficult task, but Clemson certainly does have a chance to live up to that goal.
