Les Miles went to hospital for ‘precautionary reasons’

LSU coach Les Miles missed his afternoon press conference today because he checked himself into the hospital this morning for what AD Joe Alleva called “precautionary reasons.”

Alleva’s announcement was subsequently reported by Shea Dixon of 247 Sports and Ed Daniels of WGNO New Orleans.

@LSUCoachMiles will speak after practice Monday — player availability still at 2 pm #wgnosports

Though it’s definitely a good sign that Miles will be available to the media after practice today, the news of anyone going to the hospital is scary and unsettling, especially given the stress associated with being the head coach of a top college football program.

Campus Sports will update this story on Miles’ condition if any new information becomes available.

LSU opens the season at home against McNeese State on Saturday.
