4-star TE Naseir Upshur commits to FSU with graffiti wall

Class of 2016 four-star tight end Naseir Upshur, out of Philadelphia’s Imhotep Institute Charter High School, has officially committed to Florida State over the University of Michigan.

What makes Upshur’s decision a bit more epic than others is that instead of a simple press conference or tweet announcing his decision, he worked with Bleacher Report in producing a video that saw him announce his commitment to FSU via a graffiti mural.

Of course, Upshur tweeted a picture of said mural.

Upshur has great size for his position at 6-foot-3, 239 pounds and his commitment to the Seminoles is a coup for the program, as Jimbo Fisher won out over new Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. Given Harbaugh’s connections to the NFL, one would think that would give him a distinct recruiting advantage.

But instead Upshur will head south to Tallahassee after he graduates high school and play for Fisher, who has kept FSU as a top ACC contender since taking over as head coach in 2010, even winning a national championship in 2013.

Once Upshur suits up, the program will only continue to be productive.
