The No. 5-ranked Michigan State football team released a hype video on Twitter Tuesday, three days before their season opener against in-state rival Western Michigan on Saturday, September 5 in Kalamazoo at Waldo Stadium.

The game is a perfect setting for the Broncos, who get to host the Spartans for the first time as a result of the “Celebrate the State” plan that MSU athletic director Mark Hollis introduced in 2009.
“We’re still going to have a lot of Michigan State fans there, but for the city of Kalamazoo, it’s a big deal,” Dantonio said in a mlive.com article written by Mike Griffith. “I’d rather do that though than go across the country to play somebody.”
The last time these two teams played was in 2013, a 26-13 Michigan State win in East Lansing.
