Urban Meyer ‘anticipates’ Ohio State will play both QBs

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer will not be telling us which of his high-caliber quarterbacks will take the first snap against Virginia Tech on Saturday anytime soon, but he does anticipate both will be played throughout the season.

Meyer made the comments during Tuesday’s Big Ten coaches’ conference call.

“I would anticipate throughout the course of the year that we’ll play both quarterbacks.” – Urban Meyer

All offs, eason the biggest question for the defending national champions is who will lead the Buckeyes’ offense in 2015.

The competition was once between three quarterbacks — Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett — but Miller switched positions this summer.

Playing both quarterbacks have both negatives and positives, but the last thing Meyer wants is to have a divided locker room. We can look for either Jones or Barrett to take the reins as the full-time starter at some point early in the season.
