Hayne has eye-popping game in Niners’ preseason finale

In a league plagued with alleged in-game cheaters and off-the-field criminals, former rugby star Jarryd Hayne has been a bright spot for the current NFL pre-season.

Frankly, he’s the brightest spot for the 49ers right now, who have a bit of an uphill climb ahead of them this upcoming regular season. (And “a bit” is probably being kind.)

But the Aussie has certainly made his presense known over the last couple of weeks in the red-and-gold and no more than Thursday night against the San Diego Chargers.

First, there was the run that could give Reggie Bush and Carlos Hyde a run for their roster spot:

Then there was the ultimate closeline job he put on SD cornerback Lowell Rose.

There are players that have been in the league for years that don’t have a highlight reel this good in the span of several games. From the looks of it, Hayne appears to have this football thing down pat.
