Austin Appleby stiff arms defender, throws for TD

Sunday afternoon’s clash with the Marshall Thundering Herd did not get off to a great start for Purdue Boilermakers quarterback Austin Appleby, but he was able to redeem himself later in the first half.

During a play close to the goaline, Appleby used an incredible stiff arm to break free from a defender before dumping off the ball to Danny Anthrop for the score.

It is hard not to be impressed by that.

Of course, the Boilermakers are still trailing, but Appleby proved he is capable of leading his offense into the endzone.
