Derrick Henry named SEC Offensive Player of the Week

Alabama’s junior running back Derrick Henry was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week despite only carrying the ball 13 times in their 35-17 victory. Henry rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns, including a 56-yard score.

The conference made the announcement on Monday morning.

Henry has always had the potential and the willingness to leave it all on the field. Last year, while sharing carries with T.J. Yeldon, he still rushed for close to 1,000 yards.
