The Virginia Tech football team and the NCAA took a PR hit last week when it was announced the Hokie’s coaching staff was considering fining players for things such as being late to class, missing tutor sessions, game-day penalties and more.
Jay Bilas, ESPN college basketball analyst and former Duke basketball player, has long championed for amateur athletes to get paid. He has said, in many ways, the NCAA is profiting off the players while they receive very little.
He took to Twitter Monday night during the Ohio State-Virginia Tech to troll the Hokies after they were called for a penalty and gave up a score.
Penalty was actually on Ohio State. So, VA Tech gave up a touchdown AND lost revenue. Boy, I hope other sports don't go away.

Bilas is a great follow on Twitter because of one-liners like this, while it also doesn’t appear that he is going to back down from his stance any time soon.
