Former Michigan State Spartan and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green loves his school and is clearly grateful for his time there. In fact, Green decided to show his appreciation by making a record donation to the university, to the tune of $3.1 million.
News of Green’s donation was reported on Twitter by Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press.

Rexrode offered more in an article as well:
The gift is the largest single gift to MSU athletics from a former MSU athlete. The Draymond Green Strength and Conditioning Center at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center will be named in his honor.
The gift, pending board of trustees approval, also will fund an endowment for the men’s basketball program.
Given how Green just signed a five-year, $82 million contract, it’s great to see him giving something back to the institution that helped him achieve his dream of playing in the NBA.
