One trend this week has been SEC coaches bashing the light schedule of the defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes, and one media personality has had enough. After listening to the Paul Finebaum Show, famed for its specialization in the SEC, Fox Sports’ Stewart Mandel took to Twitter with a bit of a rant on the matter, after the show was apparently just SEC fans complaining about Ohio State’s schedule.
The @finebaum show is now just 4 hours of SEC fans calling in to whine about Ohio State's schedule. What is it they want to happen?

We get it. SEC teams play tougher schedules. No one would dispute that. You are all literally arguing with yourselves.

It actually would have made more sense in the BCS. It's 4 teams. Your champ will be there, trust me. Try beating them this time.

It’s hard to argue with Mandel’s points. The SEC is easily the toughest conference in all of college football, and Ohio State can’t really be blamed for playing in an easier one in the Big Ten.
But Mandel’s words ring true: “Try beating them this time.”
This is a clear reference to the Sugar Bowl, when No. 4 Ohio State defeated an SEC powerhouse in No. 1 Alabama by a score of 42-35. The Crimson Tide simply could not stop the Buckeyes’ offense, and were beat fair and square.
Thus, if any SEC fans out there are still upset about last year’s loss, I urge them to remember this. Your team got beat, pure and simple. If you want Ohio State to lose so badly, beat them in the College Football Playoff this winter!
