Jim Harbaugh took the field today for his first home game as the Michigan Wolverines’ head coach and they are facing a very tough Oregon State Beavers football team. Michigan got off to a bit of a slow start, but they have bounced back well.
De’Veon Smith has been a very solid running back through the first game and a half this season. He was able to run in a one-yard touchdown just a few minutes ago to put the Wolverines on top of the Beavers 10-7. Smith is going to be asked to shoulder a large load moving forward for the Michigan offense and he is more than capable of stepping up to the challenge.
It certainly seems like the Wolverines have improved a lot under Harbaugh, but they have to play the improved brand of football that they have shown at times consistently. They have a very good chance to get their new head coach his first win at Michigan today, but they have to continue playing strong football.
