The Purdue Boilermakers are coming off of an incredibly disappointing loss against Marshall last week and are hoping to take their frustration out on Indiana State this afternoon. Austin Appleby received quite a bit of criticism for the turnover issues that he had last week, but he started today’s game off with a bang.
After a couple of offensive plays, Appleby found wide receiver Cameron Posey for a 57-yard touchdown pass.
It was a big start for the Boilermakers who are in desperate need of a win. They are without question an improved football team from last year, but they need their quarterback to be a consistent playmaker. Appleby and Purdue’s offense certainly seems on the same page this afternoon, but they have to keep it up and stay consistent.
