The NBA champion Golden State Warriors have paraded the shiny gold Larry O’Brien trophy all over the place during this off-season.
When it was center Festus Ezeli’s turn to show off the “championship gold” he took it back to Nashville to share it with his “family” at Vanderbilt.
Ezeli hit up SEC Network with a cheering crowd in the background, before joining in the festivities prior to Vandy’s game with No.10 Georgia on Saturday.
The towering 25-year-old from Benin City, Nigeria reflected on how his time at Vandy set his “basketball foundation” and shaped him as a team player.
The trophy has been getting the collegiate treatment since football season opened up. Power forward Draymond Green took the trophy back to Michigan State and was a special guest on “College Gameday.”
