Four-star forward now considering six schools

The recruiting battle for 2016 forward De’Ron Davis is starting to heat up. In July, the four-star recruit announced that his top three schools were Arizona, Indiana, and Texas. Fast forward to September and there are now multiple schools added to his list.

According to Alex McCarthy of @247 Sports, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and UCONN are now in the mix. Davis shared some of the reasoning behind his decision. See below courtesy of @247 Sports.

– On Arkansas: “Well, Arkansas has been there a really long time, and keeping them around, they play a fast tempo, kind of the style of play that my high school team has. We get up and down the floor and get transition buckets.”

– On Connecticut: “UConn is just another powerhouse program. It’s kind of far, but coach Ollie is a great coach, played in the league, coached in the league, stuff like that. He knows what he’s talking about, he knows how to get the job done.”

– On Mississippi State: “Mississippi State, Ben Howland’s a great coach, develops a lot of players. I don’t know a lot about the school, but I do know the coach, I have a history there.”

Most recruiting analyst believe that Davis will end up with Tom Crean and Indiana. You can check out his mixtape from Courtside Films below.
