Luke Kuechly exits game with an apparent head injury

A frightening moment to be a Carolina Panthers fan as Luke Kuechly moved in on an intended receiver and leaned in head first towards the chest of rookie T.J. Yeldon of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With what looks like Kuechly’s neck being compressed, which might have caused him to lose balance, the former Boston College standout, who recorded 532 total tackles in three seasons with the Eagles, didn’t return to the sideline, but surely precautionary measures are being taken by the medical staff treating Kuechly.

As of nine-and-a-half minutes to go in the third quarter, the Panthers lead 10-9 with points by way of a Cam Newton-to-Jerricho Cochery touchdown and a field goal by Graham Gano.
