Another high school football player gets violent with referee

There appears to be an alarming trend starting, in which high school football players are getting physically violent towards referees.

MySanAntanio.com brought our attention to an incident during a game between two Texas schools in which St. Anthony High School safety Zeke Cardenas, a senior, shoved an official following a second penalty. He was reportedly ejected right afterwards.

What makes the altercation even more unsettling is that it comes just a little over a week after two players at a different school–also in Texas– blindsided a referee.

The two student athletes in the first incident are currently being investigated by the police, CNN reported. There is no word as to if similar measures will be taken against Cardenas.
