Oklahoma’s Eric Striker apologizes for post-game actions

Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Eric Striker took some heat this weekend, thanks to his actions following the team’s big win over the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee head coach Butch Jones was not happy with Striker taunting some of the Vols fans.

After learning that his actions may have rubbed some people the wrong way, Striker issued a statement that the official Oklahoma Sooners football Twitter account blasted out on the web.

It was a very classy statement from Striker.

While he could have simply said he got carried away or got caught up in the moment, he took full responsibility for his outburst and apologized to everyone who was turned off by the behavior.

That is pretty impressive to see and it says a lot about the type of person the linebacker is off the field.
