Yes, I am on a serious football-themed food kick right now. Especially with all the weird an near-nauseating cuisine coming out of stadiums and tailgates nowadays.
The Green Bay Packers won the award for “Week 1’s Most Terrifying ‘Dog” this weekend, with a bratwurst the length of Lambeau Field.

Now if you are a native Wisconsin–or you are like me, and have a best friend who is Wisco born-and-raised–you know that brats are their own food group. (As if cheese and Kringle, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.) But this diabolical creation wasn’t boiled in beer on your buddy’s stove. This 250-pound monster required a 360-foot grill courtesy of Johnsonville Sausages.
Kind of puts that Aggie Dog we saw last week to shame, huh?
But what makes this brat a little different from other scary game day cuisine is that it is giving back to a good cause. Per SI.com the fete raised “around $40,000 for charities, including the local chapter of the Humane Society, who was also on hand with shelter pets to adopt.”
If this colossal thing is helping give back to our four-legged friends, we think we can get behind it. Maybe even request a slice the next time they create a brat this big.
