The Oklahoma Sooners were knotted 3-3 with their in-state rival Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the first quarter, and quarterback Baker Mayfield decided to take initiative. In relatively deep Tulsa territory, Mayfield opted to keep the ball and ran 39 yards for the go-ahead touchdown, untouched until he reached the end zone.
