For the past fifteen months, the future of comedy legend Tracy Morgan seemed up in the air after he was in a horrific car accident that left himself terribly injured and his friend dead after the bus they were riding in was struck by a tractor-trailer, whose driver fell asleep at the wheel.
Despite suffering a traumatic brain injury in the crash, Morgan has battled back and made his return to television at the Emmy Awards last night, presenting the award for Best Drama Series.
He proceeded to give a speech and, for the first time probably, ever, we saw the more serious side of Morgan before he ended with his signature humor.
Morgan will continue his comeback when he hosts “Saturday Night Live,” the program that made him famous, on October 17. It’s great to see him back in the saddle and ready to make people laugh again, and this speech was a great start to the comeback tour.
Welcome back, Tracy!
